The student phase is the best phase of everyone’s life. Along with a lot of fun and memories, the most critical thing that occupies the student phase studies. Whether you are studying in a school or college, studying occupies the large proportion of your life. Everyone must possess study skills to utilise the time and gain best results efficiently.

When it comes to studying especially during exam time, the most important thing to do is create a schedule. Making a program is the best way to consider because it helps in organising the time and planning the future course of actions.

How to make a study plan:

  • The first step to do is list all the subjects and the topics that you have to go through so that you do not skip any important item and end up regretting later.
  • After writing down all the subjects, segregate them into sections according to difficulty. Never pick up all the difficult topics together. Instead, go for the easy one from one item and the difficult one from another.
  • Check out your notes and study materials to make sure that you have all the stuff and notes available to you.
  • Now, after all the steps, it’s time to divide the time for each subject. Make a schedule and write down the time with the corresponding subject name that you will be giving it. An approximate time estimate will also work.
  • Build a daily planner or to-do list in the morning each day and then at the end of the day, check all the things you have done.

You won’t be able to meet all the criteria but track your progress each day. Remember, you are doing this to progress, so there has to progress.

Maximizing output:

  • After a schedule is formed, you have to look for ways to maximise your output.
  • The exam study timetable must be planned carefully as with study, and you also have to free some time for other activities and revision as well.
  • During exam study, the timetable must be made such that there are regular revision sessions to keep all the concepts in mind and to save your time on the exam day.
  • Always find a clean, quiet and comfortable room to study. When the environment around you is quiet and calm, you can still pay more attention and focus. Increased focus helps in increasing output.
  • Always be realistic about your estimates. Never overestimate yourself by scheduling important tasks in a short span of time.

  • There are lesser noise and distraction at the night time so that you can build more concentration at night.
  • Find a library near you and spend your studying time, (be it day or night) there. Libraries have a sound, quiet atmosphere and it helps to increase your efficiency.
  • If you want to study during the day, make sure that you take full sleep at night and if you are studying night, take complete rest during the daytime. 6-8 hours’ sleep is necessary for every individual.
  • To have the energy for studying, eat healthily. Pay attention to your diet, eat a balanced diet and skip the junk and unhealthy foods.
  • Artificial light can be hurting for your eyes. So if you are studying during the day, try to study in natural light but if you are considering at night, use tube lights and bulbs more than the table lamps.

Studying is an integral part of any student’s life. But to study correctly is as important as studying. Always be realistic about the plans that you are making and try to stick to them as much as you can. Time management for students plays a vital role in planning a schedule.
